Questions
How old do I have to be?
Hyve is 18+. You confirm your date of birth at sign-up and an age gate enforces it — under-18 accounts are blocked at the server.
How does matchmaking work?
Skill-based on your MMR, with a hard ±1 tier cap — you are never matched more than one league away, no matter the wait. If the queue is quiet you can switch to casual.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every mode and the full ranked ladder are free, with no paywalls or energy timers. Cosmetics are the only thing you can spend on, and they are optional.
How does ranking work?
Ten placement matches set your starting rating, then you gain or lose MMR per match across seven leagues (Bronze to Grandmaster), each with three divisions.
What stops cheating?
The server decides correctness, timing, and scoring — never the app. Answer positions are randomised per player so colluders cannot share "tap the third one", and abnormal behaviour is flagged.
How do I report someone?
Every match and room has a one-tap Report button. Reports go to moderation, and live video/audio is monitored. Breaking the rules leads to suspensions.
What about my data and privacy?
We collect the minimum to run matches and keep you safe. We never sell your data. The full privacy policy is published at launch.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — account deletion is available in-app at any time and removes your profile and personal data.
